At the Spring/Summer 2026 New York Fashion Week, Christian Siriano’s runway was illuminated not only by his stunning designs but also by the radiant skin of his models, thanks to a collaboration with Italian skincare brand Borghese. As the official skincare partner, Borghese transformed the backstage area into a sanctuary of Italian spa-inspired treatments, ensuring that the models’ complexions were as luminous as the couture they wore.

The Backstage Skincare Ritual
–
Borghese’s National Esthetician and Skin Expert, Gabriel Taylor, orchestrated a streamlined, five-minute facial regimen that combined efficiency with luxury. This treatment was designed to hydrate, soothe, and illuminate the skin, preparing the models for the spotlight.
The process began with the application of Borghese’s Advanced Fango Active Mud for face and body, which purifies and nourishes the skin. For models with combination skin, a dual-mud approach was employed: the Active Mud for the T-zone and the Advanced Fango Delicato Mud for the cheeks, addressing redness and providing a calming effect. After a brief five-minute application, the masks were removed with a warm, damp washcloth.
Next, the skin was treated to Borghese’s Acqua Ristorativo Hydrating Concentrate, a product rich in watermelon extract and a peptide complex, offering deep hydration and strengthening the skin’s elasticity. Following this, the Equilibrio Equalizing Restorative Moisture Lotion was applied to balance the skin’s natural oils and deliver a lightweight, matte finish.
The final touch was the application of Borghese’s Fluido Protettivo Advanced Spa Lift for Eyes. This eye cream, a new addition to the Borghese line, visibly lifted and brightened the under-eye area, reducing puffiness and fine lines, ensuring the models’ eyes were as captivating as their Siriano attire.

A Skincare-First Beauty Look
–
The collaboration between Christian Siriano and Borghese emphasized a “skincare-first” approach to beauty. With minimal makeup, the focus was on enhancing the models’ natural radiance. The luminous skin achieved through Borghese’s treatments complemented Siriano’s designs, allowing the models’ natural beauty to shine through.
This partnership not only highlighted the importance of skincare in the fashion industry but also showcased how a well-prepared complexion can elevate a designer’s vision, creating a harmonious blend of fashion and beauty on the runway.
